Deep Background

It’s been a while since we’ve held a rally in front of the Media Center, so it’s time, and the timing is perfect. The rally will be the day after Labor Day, and the day before our bargaining team goes back to the table with Company negotiators.

So we’ll do it again, at noon. We’ve invited the labor community, some of our friends in other Cox Ohio Publishing unions, our pals in the Obama campaign.

For eight months, we’ve been taking our message to the community. Those of us who ran the dunking booth at Alefest last weekend were shocked by how many people remembered us, had seen our billboards or heard our radio commercials.

So we’re going to show the company, once again, that we stand united and that the community supports us. And as the fall continues, we’re prepared to keep on showing them.

Please do your part by coming to the rally. We’ve got the signs, we just need the union members to hold them.
